Who Am I & Why I Wrote This Book
My name is Sheri McConnell and I am the president and founder of two national organizations: the National Association of Women Writers (www.NAWW.org) and my second global group, the Association of Web Entrepreneurs (www.AWECONNECT.com). I also own two high-level information product websites. I teach the membership-based business model at www.createyourgroup.com. I also teach millionaire mindsets and behaviors to women CEOs and entrepreneurs at www.mymillionairegirlfriends.com. I am also one of very few consultants available in the world who can specifically coach individuals on how to create and run a profitable global association, organization, or group of any size from their home!
As the owner of two membership-based businesses, I enjoy a lot of freedom in my life. I have the freedom to spend more time with my four kids, freedom to stay in shape, and freedom to earn more than I ever did in the corporate world. In fact, I earn way more than I ever dreamed I could because I own my businesses.
Today I am able to work from my home office in San Antonio, Texas. And the best part is I am able to work with my ideal customers on a daily basis–many of whom are six and seven figure earners themselves.
But it wasn’t always this way…
When I started my first association back in 2001, I didn’t have the knowledge, the skills, the money, or most importantly—the right mindset about businessto create and run a profitable association. I struggled for more than two years while I learned how to run a profitable membership-based business.
By year three, I had reinvented my first association into a money-making, revenue-recurring, and passionfulfilling business!
In this book, my goal is to teach you to think differently. I want to teach this very powerful business model to you, but most importantly, I want to teach you to think in an entirely new way about how you spend your life assets—your time, your money, and your expertise.
Remember, as you take this journey and learn about all the opportunities available to you. Don’t let negative thoughts creep into your head. Don’t think, “This won’t work for me.” The membership-based business model doesn’t fail. YOU are the key to your success.
I speak from experience. I was an only child raised by a mentally ill and very abusive single mom. In my twenties, I married the first abusive man that said I was worthy of love. My point is that if I can heal from my childhood and go on to accomplish more than I ever dreamed possible, all before I turned forty, —so can you. When you use a proven business model and manage it with the right mindsets, you will achieve more than you ever thought possible too!
